Q1: What is resin preservation?

Resin preservation is the process of encasing flowers in a clear, durable epoxy resin. This method allows us to permanently preserve your bouquet and transform it into a unique, long-lasting keepsake.

Q2: How do I get my flowers to you?

Once your event is over, it's crucial to get your flowers to us as soon as possible. We recommend dropping them off at our Nisswa studio within 1–2 days of your event. If you are unable to drop them off, please contact us to discuss alternative options. If your event is local to the greater Brainerd Lakes area ask us about having our team pick them up directly so you have one less thing to worry about and we get them quickly and easily. For drop-offs, we will confirm the exact time and location with you once your order is placed.  If you are shipping to us we will provide instructions once your order is placed and confirmed.  (see our Terms & Conditions page).

Q3: How do I prepare my flowers for pick up, drop-off or shipping?

Keep your flowers in a vase with fresh water until you are ready to bring them to us. Be sure to keep them out of direct sunlight and in a cool place. Do not put them in the freezer or refrigerator. If you're shipping them, we will provide you with detailed packing instructions to ensure they arrive safely.

Q4: How much does it cost?

The final cost depends on the size and shape of the resin mold you choose. We offer a variety of options, from small coasters to large, custom-sized blocks. Visit our Shop page for a detailed breakdown of our options and add-ons.

Q5: How long does the process take?

The entire process, from drop-off to the finished product, can take anywhere from 12 to 16 weeks. This timeline is necessary to ensure the flowers are properly dried and the resin is fully cured, creating a high-quality, lasting product.

Q6: Will my flowers look exactly the same?

While we take great care to preserve your flowers' natural beauty, some changes are normal. White flowers often take on a creamy, antique look, and red flowers may deepen to a maroon shade. It's also normal for petals to show some transparency after being encased in resin. These unique color changes are part of the process and add to the one-of-a-kind character of your keepsake.

Q7: What if I want to preserve more than just my bouquet?

We can preserve other keepsakes, too! We can include boutonnieres, corsages, and other small items, such as your invitation or a ribbon from your bouquet. We will work with you to create a beautiful and personal design.

Q8: How should I care for my resin keepsake?

Keep your resin piece out of direct sunlight to prevent yellowing over time. To clean it, simply wipe it with a soft cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals.

Q9: What kind of flowers can be preserved in resin?

Nearly all types of flowers can be preserved, but some work better than others. Roses, peonies, and hydrangeas tend to dry and hold their shape beautifully. Flowers with delicate petals like tulips or lilies can be a bit more challenging, but we have techniques to help them dry effectively.

Q10: Can you work with dried flowers that I already have?

Yes, we can! We can work with flowers you have already dried yourself. However, please be aware that the final result may differ slightly from flowers we dry in-house. Flowers dried at home may have different color and shape retention, but we will do our best to create a beautiful piece for you.

Q11: What if I don't like the final result?

We work closely with you throughout the process to ensure you are happy with the design and layout before we pour the final resin. We'll send you a digital mockup of your piece to review and approve. Due to the custom nature of our work, and the fact that we are working with organic material, all sales are final once the final pour has been completed. However, we will always do our best to ensure you love your keepsake.
